Do you like travelling? Do you love vast fields, high mountains and deep valleys? Patrick Jonsson’s new album “Is There A Scale For Love” is a fabulous journey. A journey of two people risking the big adventure of life. A journey on which love’s measures are realigned.
On his third album Jonsson contrasts the complexity of this adventure with the simplicity of his music. Guitar, organ, piano and voice; this is how he tells his stories that come from the heart and get under your skin, stories we all know. Jonsson as observer of the things overlooked every day, a chronicler of the inconspicuous.

It has become an empty, sparse and quiet album of brittle arrangements and enchanting melodies. The famous third album of an artist. “Is There A Scale For Love” is an exceptionally mature work, a mile stone of an artist who continues consistently along his musical path outside the mainstream. An album that is at home on travel routes off the beaten path, where the real adventures happen.
Venture on a journey with Patrick Jonsson, allow yourself the quietness of this album in these hectic times and find out what the measurement of love is.
The recordings for “Is There A Scale For Love” were made in December 2014 over a period of three days in an old villa in the Black Forest. Patrick Jonsson played all instruments, e.g. acoustic guitar, Rhodes, Wurlitzer and percussion, himself.
