Kathryn BERRY is a Canadian singer/songwriter and previous FACTOR grant recipient for her songs, Come In and On the Edge of Infinity. Her sound is indie folk/rock, Natalie Merchant with a side of Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan meets Shakira. Kathryn is a reformed banker and university graduate from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada and is currently the Director of Artist Development at PSDMusique.
In April, 2018, Kathryn released the single, So You’re Goin’ to California, as a precursor to her upcoming album, Misdemeanors, scheduled for release in early 2019. A 14 date tour of Italy is confirmed for March, 2019. Her latest single has received significant press in the US and Canadian markets with appearances on TV and radio. It has been written about from San Francisco, California (by Billboard magazine’s April 2018 featured artist Ryan Cassata) to NYC.
Kathryn played for the Canada 150 celebrations in Greenfield Park, Quebec, JunoFest 2017 in Ottawa and has been a featured artist on TV and radio. Her debut EP, Beauty of the Brave, hit #1 on Stingray’s (https://music.stingray.com ) Canadian Indie music channel on Sept 2, 2016. Her song, Come In, is on rotation in Quebec, Ontario and in British Columbia, Canada. The songs Beautiful Daughter and Beauty of the Brave were both featured on Women of Substance radio and on their award winning podcast out of California, USA (April and May 2016). Kathryn has been interviewed on CKCU 93.1 FM radio in Ottawa, CJAD in Montreal and seen on Rogers TV in Ottawa and Toronto. Her hour-long conversation with the hosts of To the Echo Radio Show out of South Carolina received almost 4k listeners in the first week released. She is currently on rotation on Stingray Music nationwide, in Toronto on Erin FM 88.1 FM, CJIM Rouge FM/ iHeartRadio in Quebec and The Big Groove radio Show FM 90.1 in British Columbia.
