Doug Alldred & the Silver Lining have just released their brand new EP following a summer of festival gigs including playing the legendary Isle of Wight Festival. Their sound captures the power of big-music era Waterboys and fuses it with a little of Tom Petty and a sprinkle of folk and country, leading to a unique alt-folk-meets-beat-poet sound. Musically led by harmonica, violin and even saw, Doug Alldred’s songs are catchy with instant sing-along choruses, but deal with more than the average pop-tune subject matter.
