In the last two years, there has been a huge resurgence of interest and support for the work of vintage Australian singer songwriter Aidan Nolan. The quality of his work has rocketed him to the top of the Reverbnation charts in the highly competitive New York market and his label, Two Faced Records, has received enquiries from the US, UK, Europe, Australia and Asia about further releases. Having re-located from Australia to the US a few years back Aidan has written music for film and TV in Australia and charted on commercial radio in the UK and Europe before arriving here. It now seems that a much wider and younger audience has discovered this writer for his lyrical intelligence and perception in combination with highly approachable melody. Further, Aidan is fast becoming known for the diversity of musical genres he can approach and still do great credit to himself within.
In partnership with multi-award winning producer and arranger Stephen Lightbody, aidan’s 2014 album release Witchy Man, every track has been remixed and remastered by industry icons and features the hit single ‘Saint Rita’s Day’ plus two previously un-released songs ‘On Change’ and ‘For the Caitlin.’ With cover art by Australian artist and songwriter Fronz Arp, including a multi-panel case and 12 page insert booklet, the Witchy Man album is, very simply, outstanding songs recorded extremely well.
